As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ, moving toward the most vulnerable in their time of need. Helping people through their hardest challenges doesn’t have to be something “they” do—it can be something “we” do, together. Through the ministry of The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)—the humanitarian relief and development arm of The United Methodist Church—we are working together to offer relief and recovery. Join us as we work alongside those in need to make a difference in communities and individuals globally.

Working with local organizations, churches in the community and United Methodist volunteers, UMCOR builds relationships and helps communities rebuild in the years following a disaster or crisis. UMCOR offers relief, response and long-term recovery grants when events overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on their own. UMCOR also provides technical support and training for partners to address emerging and ongoing issues related to disaster relief, recovery and long-term health and development.

UMCOR would be unable to do this work without your support. From training Conference Disaster Coordinators and Early Response Teams to keeping the office lights on, the UMCOR special offering equips the organization to respond quickly.

On March 19, United Methodists around the world celebrate UMCOR Sunday to recognize the impact we achieve together. We invite you to join in this ministry! Your donation on this Special Sunday underwrites UMCOR’s administrative costs so that all designated gifts received through the year go to the projects specified. This helps us keep the promise that 100% of any gift to a specific UMCOR project will go toward that project and not administrative costs.

The United Methodist Church’s special giving structure ensures your generosity blesses as many people as possible in sustainable, strategic ways. Even the smallest gift makes an impact!
