Happy New Year, friends!
Many of us have already been mapping out goals and new habits we want to incorporate (and those we want to kick to the curb) in 2025. My goals include walking on the beach more often, starting a new Bible study group, spending more time around the table with friends and family, and even though it's so 2020, learning to bake sourdough bread that's actually edible! What are yours? If you want to focus on your faith, but aren't sure where to begin, take our two-question quiz for inspiration and practical tools to get you started. Click here to take our quiz!
Hey, it's a fantastic time to launch reading through the Bible in a year. Don't be daunted; it's doable!
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. — James 4:8
One resource I highly recommend for the New Year is Experiencing the Heart of Jesus for 52 Weeks by Max Lucado. This excellent study will guide you through eleven characteristics of Jesus, with prayers, memory verses, and reflection questions. You'll step into Jesus's presence and experience His grace, forgiveness, power, love, and prayer in fresh and profound ways. Call on Him, spend time with Him, and watch your life change as you embrace His image in 2025!
Another way to grow this year is to join us for our next Online Bible Study — I Want to Trust You, but I Don't by Lysa TerKeurst starting January 21st. This study is perfect to kickstart 2025. With Lysa as our guide, we're going to learn practical and Biblical tools to help us rebuild trust in every area of our lives. We all experience hurts that can shake our trust in others, ourselves, and even God. But, we don't have to carry those pains into the new year. Our God is a God of restoration. He has hope and healing for us!
Along with our goals and plans, let's take excitement and expectation into 2025. Jesus is with us, He is faithful, and He loves us more than we can even fathom! God has good things up His sleeve for us this year! Amen!
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. — Isaiah 43:19
Grace and peace, and Happy New Year!
