A message from our ad partner: Hello, Did you know that children from fatherless homes account for 63% of youth suicides, 75% of teens in drug treatment, and 85% of youth sitting in prisons? My name is John Smithbaker, and I lead Fathers in the Field, a nonprofit that seeks to serve and pour into fatherless boys ages 7-17. Helping fatherless boys is my passion because I was a fatherless boy myself. I know firsthand the wound being abandoned by a father can create, but I also have seen the healing our Heavenly Father can provide these boys since I experienced it in my own life. Through the Fathers In The Field program, these abandoned boys have a chance to spend time outdoors, away from distractions, where they can relate one-to-one with a man they admire. In addition to providing these boys with an earthly fatherly figure they can look up to, Fathers in the Field is committed to pointing the fatherless to their Heavenly Father. Letting boys know that someone on earth loves them is the first step to letting them know that God loves them. We have decided to make it free because we want as many people as possible to know about this epidemic and understand what can be done.
I pray this resource gives you the tools you need to engage your church to reach, rescue, and restore fatherless boys in your community. Together, let's work to end the epidemic of generational fatherlessness. In Christ's name, John Smithbaker |
