  • Trade morals
  • -
    ----------------
It is possible to have trade morals but have poor character. They aren’t exactly the same thing. Character is one of the most important things to have in order to be a champion for God. God can work and walk you through your moral issues…character goes deep down beyond behavior, and it goes down to the heart. God found in David a man after His own heart. David struggled in his morality, but he had character. He would admit it when he was wrong and when his life was out of order. He could be trusted with people when they were broken.
Character makes you ultimately successful. God wants us to be successful. Good success is a sustained success. There have been mighty men and women in the Kingdom who had risen mighty, they had the gift and charisma to get them up there, but they couldn’t stay up there because they lacked character.
There are 3 things that can bring you down 1. Power  2. Money  3. Sex.
Keep a guard at these doors. They are big doors and interrelated. Some people have no trouble in the last 2 areas but they are power fanatics. When they are empowered, they are like Sauls! They can’t stand anyone around them, they control everything- they have issues with power.
Some people are as humble as the day is long but greedy as a sponge. Money – just got to have it! Or just can’t handle/manage money/misappropriate funds/spend easily/ stingy- whatever your financial pathology is, it affects the DNA of your church/home etc. If you as a leader have trouble managing money in your own finances, most likely your organization/church/family is going to struggle, because the financial philosophy of the pastor/father flows down to the church/home.
There is a tie between all three. There is a tie between power and sex. When you are in a place of position and power, there is a risk of sexual challenges that can come along with it. Leaders are to be more careful because they have a spotlight on them. Because they have a vision and heading somewhere, the devil is out to get them. There is a very thin line between the 3. If you have money, money can give you power, if you have power, power can get you sex. Christian leaders have to manage all the three. Mismanagement of either of them can leave you bankrupt and sets you at risk.
You can’t ask God to take away any of these 3. You need it. What you need is a discipline to manage the 3 of it
