There’s a spiritual habit that millions of Christians practice with extraordinary faithfulness every morning.
Before their feet touch the floor — sometimes before eyes are fully open — a hand reaches for the nightstand. They pick up their phone and begin their daily liturgy: email, news, social media, email again. No one taught them this ritual, and yet they perform it with a consistency that would make a Benedictine monk weep with envy.
Imagine if you were able to apply that same energy to your walk with God. Your spiritual life would look completely different. And that’s actually the point.
What you do habitually — what you do without thinking — shapes who you are becoming. That’s true whether the habit is scrolling Instagram or sitting with the Psalms.

Jesus is the Son of God, but what does that mean? How is the Son of God different from God the Father and God the Holy Spirit? The mystery of the Trinity is one of the most difficult and most fundamental truths of Christianity. The entire Christian faith hinges on the idea that Jesus was the Son of God — fully God and fully human.
In order to understand who the Son of God is and how He functions within the Trinity, we must understand His person, His earthly life, and His continuing ministry as the Lamb of God.

Joseph was a seventeen-year-old young man when his seemingly perfect life turned upside down. Like many of us at that age, he must have had hopes and dreams for his future — who he would marry, where he would live, what he would do for a living. Joseph was obedient and trustworthy and dearly loved by his father. What could possibly go wrong? Yet what unfolded next would change the course of his life forever.
Joseph’s life was upended on a seemingly ordinary day. He followed his father’s instructions to check on his brothers who were tending the sheep some distance away. His brothers, who had become insanely jealous of Joseph, saw him coming towards them and conspired to grab him and throw him into an empty cistern. Then they sold him to Ishmaelite slave traders headed to Egypt.
From one moment to the next, Joseph’s life would never be the same — but what didn’t change was Joseph’s godly character.

If the death of Jesus means something, then I think the doorway to a better understanding is one word.
Tetelestai — “It is finished” (John 19:30) — may be the most significant word ever uttered across the stratosphere. The single most important statement in all of human history. Spoken by the innocent and dying only begotten Son of God. Tetelestai is a stake driven into eternity, which stands there still, and the kingdom of darkness is powerless against it.
