Hi Friend, Let me share a staggering stat with you: Over half a million people have made a profession of faith through the Harvest Crusade events. Praise God! That’s the reason we continue to hold the Harvest Crusade year after year—because lives are changed! It’s been 35 years since we started the crusades, and one thing has remained consistent at every event: People find hope, healing, and the forgiveness of sins by beginning a relationship with Jesus Christ or recommitting their lives to Him. One of these people includes a man named Randy, who recently wrote this message that I want to share with you: For so many years, I was very angry with Jesus. I can say I hated Him. Anytime anyone would talk about Jesus, I would get angry. My son died at the age of 4. I couldn't understand how this so-called God could do this. My wife died of cancer. The loss of the two people in my life that meant so much to me was too much. It took me many years to forgive God, and it took me even longer to ask for His forgiveness. At the Harvest Crusade, I asked God to come into my life. I know now that the two people I loved so much are with our Father in Heaven, and that gives me comfort and a sense of joy and happiness. Thank you, God, my Lord. Randy’s life, like so many of ours, is the story of a 180-degree turn. He went from anger to joy. From hatred to love. From unforgiveness to forgiveness. The gospel has the power to initiate a U-turn for anyone who surrenders to Him. Stories like Randy’s are why I do what I do. I’m so grateful for friends who help bring to life the Harvest vision of sharing the life-changing gospel message with those who need to hear it most.
