Temptation reveals what we trust

A closer look at temptation, trust, and what Jesus chose in Matthew 4:4.

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.  — 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)  Temptation can feel isolating.    In the moment of pressure, it's easy to believe that no one understands — that the struggle is uniquely yours.    But Scripture speaks clearly: temptation is common. And more importantly, God is faithful.    He does not abandon His people in testing. He limits the intensity. He provides a way forward.
