For as long as I can remember, visiting Israel—the Holy Land—has been on my bucket list. For a while that's been impossible, but now that the country has re-opened to travel again, I've been dreaming about it.
I've dreamed of walking where Jesus walked… standing on the shores of the Sea of Galilee… seeing Scripture come alive not just on the page, but in place.
I haven't made the journey yet— but I can honestly say this:
This Bible study is the next best thing.
In the Footsteps of the Savior is like being on a guided tour with someone you trust—author, pastor, and Bible teacher Max Lucado— walking you through the life and teachings of Jesus on location.
As Max teaches from places like Capernaum, the Mount of Beatitudes, and the Garden Tomb, you don't just learn the Bible… you experience it. You can almost feel the breeze off the water, hear the footsteps on the stone, and imagine the crowds gathering to hear Jesus speak.
What I love most is how deeply personal this study is.
Each session focuses on a very real part of following Jesus—especially the parts we still wrestle with today:
- Capernaum: Following Jesus When You Doubt
- Sea of Galilee: Following Jesus in Your Storms
- Mount of Beatitudes: Following Jesus When You Worry
- Temple Steps: Following Jesus…And Only Jesus
- Garden Tomb: Following Jesus When You Need Hope
- Caesarea by the Sea: Following Jesus When You Need Grace
