Hi friends,
The first Monday of the new year, just days ago, I had the best intentions.
My alarm was set early. My Bible was waiting by my quiet time chair. I imagined a purposeful, prayerful start to the year.
And then… I overslept.
What followed was a familiar downward spiral. Rushing. Bickering with my daughter. She missed the school bus. We both ended up in tears.
So much for a "great" morning.
What I'm so thankful for— especially on days like that— is this truth: God's mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23). Not just the mornings we get right. Not just the ones that start quietly and intentionally. Every morning.
God doesn't expect perfection from us. He meets us with grace upon grace.
That's the heart behind our next Online Bible Study, The Great Morning Revolution by Tara Beth Leach, starting Jan. 19th.
This study isn't about becoming a "morning person" or mastering a flawless routine.
It's about rediscovering mornings as sacred space—moments where God brings light out of darkness, order out of chaos, and hope where we feel depleted.
Tara Beth reminds us that throughout Scripture, morning represents God's faithful renewal. From creation itself to the psalms that promise joy in the morning, to Jesus rising early to pray—and ultimately rising from the grave at dawn— morning tells the story of a God who meets us again and again with fresh mercy.
If you've ever felt like your days get away from you before they even begin… if mornings feel rushed, heavy, or discouraging… this study is for you.
We'll begin together soon, and it's completely free to join. You'll receive weekly video teaching, the first week's study guide download and other helpful resources, and the encouragement of a community learning to begin each day with grace, not guilt.
I hope you will sign up for The Great Morning Revolution OBS!
With you in the journey,
Jaime Guthals
