Friends,
Maybe a Hagar moment is what some of us need—a moment of awakening to the presence of El-Roi (Genesis 16:13), the God who sees us and is with us always.
Lord, do you see me? Don't you care?
It's a question that Hagar cried out to God, and if we're honest, it's a question that many of us have asked, too.
I want to remind you that Jesus has never taken his eye off you. He always knows what we are facing in this life . . . He sees, you, He loves you, and He'll never leave you.
And as we are so beautifully reminded in the song "The God Who Sees..."
I will be a ring of fire around you
And I will be the glory in your midst
And the power of My presence
Will bring you to your knees
Then I will lift you up again
For I'm the God who sees
I'm so excited to share with you more about El Roi – the God Who Sees - in the Online Bible Study...starting in just one week!
Based on the film, the book, and the popular YouTube music video that started it all, we'll study the lives of five people in the Bible who, like us, wondered if God saw them. The stories of Hagar, Ruth, Boaz, David, and Mary of Magdala will help us discover that even in the hardest and darkest times, God see us and is with us.
It's going to be an incredible journey! I hope to see you there.
