A Prayer When You Need to Believe the Good News By Betsy de Cruz "Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.'" Mark 1:14 – 15   This may sound blasphemous, but I don't like the word repentance. Perhaps I don't like to think of my own sin. I'd rather think of myself as someone who has it all together than someone who desperately needs God's mercy. Wouldn't you? Surely, repentance is for thieves, drug dealers, and murderers, right?
