Samaritan's Purse Responds
as Ian Pounds Florida
Dear Friend,
As I write this, Hurricane Ian has just bashed Florida's southwest coast as a fierce Category 4 storm. It quickly overwhelmed low-lying coastal areas with heavy rain and a massive storm surge. Flooding is expected to continue as Ian makes a destructive slog across the Sunshine State's heavily populated central corridor.
Millions of people are having their lives turned upside down and will need help and comfort in the days and weeks to come. Today, two of our Disaster Relief Units, loaded with equipment and supplies, are headed toward the hardest hit areas.
Give NowThis catastrophic event will leave its mark on Florida communities for years. That's why we are partnering with local churches to help homeowners in Jesus' Name over the long haul. Our volunteers will muck out water-damaged homes, cut fallen trees, and tarp roofs. As we work, we will be sharing the hope of the Gospel.
Sign Up to VolunteerPlease keep all those in the storm's path in your prayers. "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms" (Deuteronomy 33:27). May God bless you.
Sincerely,
Franklin Graham
President, Samaritan's Purse
