Friends,
We've all felt lonely at some point in our lives. But there's been a growing amount of evidence and studies showing that people are feeling lonelier than ever.
It breaks our hearts. We read your stories in our groups, have prayed over your circumstances, and hear your pain...
the new mom who is at home all day alone with young children;
the empty nester, divorcee, or widow in a now silent home;
the military wife never feeling grounded anywhere;
the church member facing broken community and hurt;
the student or recent graduate in a new city leaving friends behind...
there are so many seasons when loneliness is so very, very hard.
One of our beloved authors Kathie Lee Gifford shared that after she left the TODAY show: "My biggest struggle at this point of my life is loneliness. I've lost my parents, my husband is gone now and my children live far away from me," she said. "I still live in the same big house where we made a gazillion million memories. And there are times when I am overwhelmed by loneliness."
If you've felt this way, too, we want you to know that social isolation and loneliness don't have to be the norm.
There is a way to live less alone.
If you feel that ache for connection, we want you to know you're in the right place.
... And we want to invite you to join us starting August 1st for our next OBS, Find Your People with Jennie Allen!
It's going to be a life-changing experience and we know it is soooo needed by so many people!
Jennie has all the tools and has created the most fantastic study to equip you to make new friends or go deeper in relationships with the people already around you.
But it's going to require you to do the work... to spend time learning, studying, and reflecting on what God wants us to know about His design for true community.
Are you up for it?
We would love to have you sign up and be a part of our community, so you don't have to do it alone.
The study starts in just two weeks and we're saving you a seat... we really hope to see you there.
