But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel. Judges 14:4
There is virtually nothing God has said or done or is saying and doing that has no purpose. Many of us seem to falter in obedience because we don’t seek to find out the purpose behind the instruction.
Saul thought it was merely about winning the battle over the Amalekites and taking the oxen and spoils of victory. No! He was wrong. God wanted the annihilation of the Amalekites (1Sam. 15:2-3)
Israel thought it was about merely possessing the land and so they retained some of the inhabitants of the land. Many believers don’t mind to live with or co-exist with certain strongholds in their life but God cannot.
And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice:.... Judg. 2:2
On their way out of Egypt the Lord by favour gave gold to the children of Israel, spoiling the Egyptians thereby. (Ex. 12:36) But in Ex 25 the Lord asked for an offering of gold in the wilderness
As you worship the Father today may your eyes be opened to His purpose for your life in Jesus Name.
