QUESTION: How do you run a Christian business?

    ANSWER:

Within the construct of our free enterprise system, the general rules for successfully operating a “for-profit” Christian business are essentially the same as for those who are managing a secular business. Effectively running a Christian business does not mean that the wheel needs to be reinvented or that operations must be diametrically opposite of a secular business. Rather, utilizing proven techniques of effective leadership, ethics, hard work, organizational management, and business savvy are still vital components to the daily operations of our Christian business -- just like any other secular enterprise.

In our opinion, the distinguishing feature between running a Christian business and a secular business involves faith. “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6, ESV). One must be a good business person, as well as a strong individual of faith. There should be no distinction between one’s occupational endeavor and personal vocation of faith. Being lukewarm in either context is disastrous for the Christian business model.

When a Christian business owner focuses on his or her faith in Jesus Christ, the Christian business is operated in the right image and perspective -- an eternal purpose. This provides Christ’s peace and protects against the tendency to exercise sheer will power to succeed in all facets of business. There is a definite rhythm of Christ in our faith, and our goal should be to operate in Christ’s rhythm every day.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? - We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment.God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, androse from the deadaccording to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved fromjudgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
